Brussels, March 2022 – We are happy to announce the shortlist for the second season of the Wholistic World Innovation Trophy, WWIT. The nominees are:
Augmentus(Singapore): Augmentus is a platform for simplified robot programming. A no-code and fully integrated robotics platform enables anyone – even those with no robotic experience or programming – to develop, deploy and re-purpose robotic systems in minutes.
I Bobby (Australia): Social and wellbeing app aimed at indigenous youth of Australia. First suicide prevention app in the world to use evidence-based suicide prevention methods. Also first mental health app aimed at indigenous Australians. Officially recognised by the Australian Government as a suicide-prevention app.
What3Words(United Kingdom) has divided the world into 3m squares and given each one a unique identifier made from three random words. The technology is being used by 85% of UK emergency services and globally, emergency call centers are embracing what3words at a rapid pace, with control rooms in the UK, US, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Singapore, Canada, India, and South Africa all utilizing the technology.
The 2022 laureate will be officially announced early November. The shortlist was extracted from 15 suggestions that have been compiled by the organisations behind the WWIT board members representing a global region, independent of the respective board member.
